Shaki State Regional College held a roundtable on "Nasimi theme in works of Azerbaijani composers".

The event was attended by a pedagogical collective of the college, Azerbaijani composers and musicians at the event held within the XII International Music Festival "Silk Way".

Participants of the event first acquainted with the exhibition of paintings by the college students dedicated to Nasimi's creativity.

The round table dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani thinker Imadeddin Nasimi discussed the life of the poet, philosophical reflections reflected in his works, as well as the use of Azerbaijani composers of Nasimi at different times.

Director of the college Sardar Sharifov said that the holding of one of the events of the festival has become a tradition.

Then, Artistic Director of the festival, chairman of Azerbaijan Composers Union, correspondent member of ANAS, People's Artist Firangiz Alizade said that announcing 2019 by President Ilham Aliyev "Nasimi Year" gave impetus to the development of a number of cultural projects in the republic.

It was noted that from the end of last year, the new project called "Nasimiye ithaf" was launched at the initiative of the Union of Composers Firangiz Alizadeh, and a number of successful programs were implemented.

At the end of the concert, the students of the college performed a concert program featuring Nasimi's ghazals.
