Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Leading researchers at the Hydrobiology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences - PhDs in Biology Anvar Jalilov and Suleyman Suleymanov was on an expedition in the coastal waters of the Gilazi-Sumgayit Aquarium of the Central Caspian Sea.

During the expedition, samples of zooplankton and fish fauna were collected from three permanent stations in the aquarium. During the research, 26 species of fish from 6 species were examined and 5 samples of zooplankton were packaged.

As a result of the researches, information on the current state of zooplankton and fish fauna biodiversity has been obtained in the Middle Caspian water area.
