September 19 is the day of commemoration of prominent orientalist-scientist, Dr. Philology, Professor Aida Imanguliyeva. On this occasion, the staff of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after academician Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS visited the grave of Professor A. Imanguliyeva at II Alley of Honor and laid a wreath at the scientist's grave.

At the commemoration ceremony, director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva spoke about the life of a prominent scientist who died 27 years ago. She said that Aida khanum made a great contribution to the world of Oriental studies. Aida Imanguliyeva's scientific activity opened a new page in the study of modern Arabic literature. The great scientist provided important merits in the training of highly qualified Arabian specialists, G. Bakhshaliyeva noted.

G. Bakhshaliyeva said that during her tenure she has been working on strengthening the material and technical base of the Institute of Oriental Studies, expanding the scope of scientific research, and developing international relations.

Then head of the Department of Arabic Philology of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Dr. Philology Vilayat Jafarov, head Department of Central Asian Countries, Dr. Economics Dunyamali Veliyev stated that, Aida Imanguliyeva was the world-renowned researcher, studying new age of Arabic literature and the first Azerbaijani woman professor in oriental studies of Azerbaijan.
