Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Within the framework of the EaPConnect project of the GEANT Association, 18 educational institutions of the country connected to the AzScienceNet network of the ANAS Institute of Information Technology and gained access to the data center.

Ministry of Education is expanding its integration into AzScienceNet, and informed that AzEduNet network was provided with 700 Mbps speed from 1 Gbit / s Internet traffic. Deputy Director noted that up to 80% of the total 1 Gbit / s recommended traffic is used efficiently.

In addition, tender documents were prepared for the purchase of new telecommunications equipment as part of the EaPConnect project.

Note that, GEANT (European Association of Scientific and Educational Networks) covers 38 countries and has more than 50,000 users throughout Europe.
