Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Representatives of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences - Dr. Bao Yi and Dr. Yang Jing visited ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

During the meeting with the director of the Museum, academician Naila Valikhanli, the Chinese guests were informed on the history of the creation of this cultural center and prominent philanthropist G.Z.Taghiyev.

Academician N.Valikhanli spoke on her scientific trips to China and about her rich impressions of the country. She noted that, she was elected as a vice president of the International Alliance of Silk Road Museums.

The parties discussed current trends in the development of Azerbaijani-Chinese scientific and cultural ties, the further expansion of this cooperation, as well as the use of the Great Silk Road exhibits protected by the museum in an encyclopedia that is being prepared for publication, and other issues.

The material and cultural heritage, the original appearance of the museum building and the rich exhibition halls impressed the guests.

In conclusion, the Chinese scientists donated the museum publications.
