Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Baku is included in the UNESCO Creative Cities List.

This year, on October 31 - World Cities Day, UNESCO has incorporated 66 cities from 48 countries into a "network of creative cities."

It brings together the cities that build networking on creativity - music, art and crafts, design, cinema, literature, digital art and gastronomy. Network innovation and creativity are a key factor in the sustainable and more inclusive development of the new city strategy.

Currently, the network includes 246 cities.

The city of Sheki has been a member of the "art and crafts" network since 2017.
