Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s followers come to Azerbaijan for the first time

Martin Javanshiri, a great grand child of the outstanding Azerbaijani writer and public figure Jalil Mammadguluzade and his son Pshemislav Javanshiri was invited to our country by ANAS vice president, acad. Isa Habibbayli.

Representatives of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's family will soon be in their homeland for the first time after 68 years. They will participate in the scientific - cultural events dedicated to Jalil Mammadguluzade in our country, organized by the Azerbaijan National Library and Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi. The successors of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's family will also visit the writer's home museum and the graveyard at the Alley of Honor and meet with the staff of the Institute of Literature.

Note that, acad. I. Habibbeyli who has researched the multi-faceted heritage of the great Azerbaijani writer Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, has been researching and determining the genealogy of the writer. He first met in Tehran in 1992 with Midhet Javanshiri and Irene Javanshiri - the children of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh’s son Anvar Mammadguluzade (1911-1979) who left country in 1941 and had relations with them. He also met with Mehri Saggatchi in Paris (1998), a daughter of Anvar Mammadguluzadeh with Mehin Dadipur, a graduate of the Azerbaijan Medical University.

Continuing his relationship with the Mammadguluzadeh genealogy, acad. Isa Habibbayli has also worked to establish and maintain contact with the great-great-grand children of thinker, living in Poland.

"The genealogy of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh" by Isa Habibbayli is one of the first studies, dealing with writer’s offspring in Azerbaijan science.
