The Second Special Department of the Presidium of ANAS held a workshop on the results of civil defense training for 2019 and organizational instructions for 2020.

The event was attended by Civil Defense headquarters of the scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS.

Opening the workshop head department Eldar Guliyev stated that, workshops, trainings and other measures were taken pursuant to the Presidential Decree of April 18, 1998 "On the Implementation of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Civil Defense", decision 193 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan "Providing of Civil Defense” dated September 25, 1998, recommendations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and the Academy's Action Plan for 2019.

E. Guliyev said that during the year, five scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS were inspected and deficiencies were eliminated. For the purpose of enhancing knowledge of CD headquarters, studying and improving form and methods of their trainings, Second Special Department held methodical workshops once a month within a year. The rapporteur also said that in 2019, chairmen of Commision for Emergency Situations at several enterprises, deputy directors of science, as well as headquarters have been sent for probation at the Central CD courses of MES and received certificates.Meanwhile, he said that the Action Plan for 2020 will be prepared and sent to scientific institutions and organizations upon approval.

Then chief specialist of the department Ogtay Farzaliyev made speech at the workshop on final report for 2019, preparation of documents for the organization, creation and preparation of the CD, and the plan of measures to be prepared by the headquarters of civil defense scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS for 2020.
