Lankaran Regional Scientific Center of ANAS held an event dedicated to the results of the General Meeting of the Academy.

Director of the Center Professor Farman Guliyev spoke about the problems discussed at the ANAS General Meeting and noted the tasks arising from the report of the ANAS President Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev. He said that in his report, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev put forward the development of the non-oil sector, commercialization of scientific results and the strengthening of innovative activities, organization of the activities of research institutions at the level of modern requirements, in particular, increasing attention to the application of science as tasks.

It was noted that the research center continued the research work to fulfill the tasks set in state programs, efficient use of natural resources of the southern region, solve environmental problems and study the history of the southeastern region of Azerbaijan based on archaeological materials.

Professor Farman Guliyev also touched upon the work done to expand innovation, apply scientific results, provide scientific support for the development and implementation of the foundations of Azerbaijani ideology, as well as expand relations with higher educational and research institutions.

In conclusion, he gave instructions regarding the integration of the departments of the center, training of highly qualified scientific staff, improving the quality of scientific research and its implementation in production.
