State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Science Fund announced next competition for 2014 with the purpose of to encourage scientists’ performance that are charged to solve the problems related to the urgent oil and gas, petro-chemical industry, as well as to further develop fundamental and applied scientific researches.

85 projects were submitted for the competition. Competition Commission was established in terms of examination of the submitted projects, Commission has been included scientists according g to the science fields announced in the competition.

In accordance with the Regulation of Science Fund, was established a serious examination of the registered projects, in connection with were held a number of meetings of the Competition Commission and the Board of Directors.

Taking into account Competition Commission and experts SOCAR Science Fund has announced 35 projects as a winner by the decision dated September 24, 2014 - 29 of them scientific research projects, 4 special projects and 2 motivating awards.
