Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A ceremony of signing a multilateral international agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the Belarusian State University, Institute of Nuclear Physics under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) was held at Baku State University (BSU).

Welcoming the guests, the BSU rector Elchin Babayev spoke about the successful state policy in the field of science and education in our country, as well as about the international relations of BSU. Speaking about the new development strategy of BSU, work to improve education, research, innovation, social life and international relations, Elchin Babaev emphasized the importance of joint cooperation.

JINR Director, academician Viktor Matveev, praised the scientific cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan. According to the Russian, one of the key areas of the agreement is the integration of the scientific potential of nuclear research into production.

In his speech, the director of the Institute of Physics of ANAS, academician Nazim Mammadov noted that the agreement will further expand cooperation in the field of science, new technologies and innovations, will positively affect the strengthening of ties between the parties in various fields.

Yergazi Kenzhin, director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasizing the special importance of the cooperation agreement, stressed the importance of further expanding joint scientific cooperation.

The first vice-president of ANAS, academician Ibrahim Guliyev expressed confidence that the agreement will deepen scientific relations between the parties.

Then the ceremony of signing a multilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear research was held.

Note that before the ceremony, academician Viktor Matveev and First Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation academician Grigory Trubnikov visited the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, as well as the Alley of Martyrs who cherished for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
