Kerimulla Mammadzadeh, an employee of the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, has done research in Uzbekistan on the preserved ancient manuscripts of Azerbaijan.

Many manuscripts of Nizami Ganjavi, Imaddaddin Nasimi, Muhammad Fuzuli and other well-known Azerbaijani classics were discovered during the research carried out by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan.

Among these manuscripts you can come across a manuscript copy of Shah Ismayil Khatai's “Divan” in native language, which is important to our country. Other copies of the Khatai's “Divan” in native language are being preserved in the British Museum and Iran. A copy of the manuscript was obtained by Samir Abbasov, Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center. The date of the manuscript's transfer is shown in the Hijri calendar in 942 (the date is 1535). The secretary of the manuscript of the 84-page is Shah Muhammed al-Nishapuri, and has been copied with nastalig.

The Tashkent version of Shah Ismayil Khatai's “Divan” in mother tongue is planned to be released soon.
