Findings on the sunken court told about the first stages of globalization

There are already about 7 decades of archaeologists searching in the Eastern Mediterranean for fragments of sunken ships. And finally they smiled good luck. The British team of investigators stumbled upon the fragments of the ship, which were locked in the period from the 3rd century BC to the 19th century of our era. Ships belong to the Roman, early Islamic and Ottoman epochs.

Most archaeologists were surprised by the contents of the ships found. Sean Kingsley, a participant in the Enigma Shipwrecks Project (ESP), said: "It's really one of the most incredible openings in the Mediterranean." Examination of these findings, in the opinion of experts, can rewrite history.

One of the sunken ships is an Ottoman merchant ship of the 17th century. A huge load, transferable, contains hundreds of artifacts belonging to 14 different cultures. The ship, as it was believed, was sunk about 1630 and went between Egypt and Istanbul. This ship, or rather its cargo, represents its own "capsule of time", which tells the story of the beginning of globalization of the world.
