An integral part of the large-scale activities undertaken by the country's leadership to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan (COVID-19) is the provision of food assistance to low-income families in need of support.

On the occasion of the Ramadan holiday, on the initiative and with the support of the Free Trade Union of ANAS, a number of low-income employees of the institutes of Linguistics named after Nasimi, Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, Mathematics and Mechanics, Dendrology, Physics, Information Technology, Philosophy, as well as the Sheki Regional Scientific Center and the Presidium of ANAS were provided food assistance.

The Chairman of the ANAS Free Trade Union, Professor Habil Gurbanov noted that Azerbaijan has established exemplary relations between the state and religion, as well as traditions of tolerance, multiculturalism and peaceful cohabitation. He emphasized that the leadership of the republic is taking all the necessary proactive measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan, urgent and preventive measures are being taken.

H. Gurbanov said that during the period of the fight against coronavirus, more than 1000 low-income ANAS employees received food assistance; at the same time, members of the Free Trade Union were interested in the health of employees and conducted educational conversations with them.
