Based on the calculations, scientists know how much matter was at the beginning of the history of the universe. However, when they measured her current state, they noticed that the part simply disappeared!

The better known concept of dark matter is 85% of all matter in the universe. A new study deals with the so-called "visible" part of matter, it consists of protons and neutrons. To search for this part, scientists used fast radio bursts - powerful single radio pulses of unknown nature recorded by radio telescopes. Such flashes last for several milliseconds and come from different places without any pattern. But in such a short time they emit energy equal to that which gives the Sun for thousands of years!
