Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The site, where the second monument to the outstanding Azerbaijani musician, People's Artist of the USSR, State Prize laureate academician Arif Melikov to be erected in Baku, has been announced.

This was stated by the author of the monument, the rector of the Academy of Arts of Azerbaijan, People's Artist academician Omar Eldarov.

Noting that the first monument to Arif Melikov was erected in the Honorary Burial Alley, O. Eldarov said that the second monument will be erected in the garden of the National Conservatory. He brought to the attention that the design of the monument will begin in the near future, and its height, including the pedestal, will be about six meters.

O. Eldarov said that the new monument to A. Melikov, which will be distinguished by its originality, is planned to be prepared within a year.
