Scientists were able to decipher the ancient cave painting discovered in the Mexican state of Colima.
Specialists from the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) of Mexico were able to decipher the ancient drawing discovered in Colima. Petroglyph on a stone thrown out a millennium ago by the volcano Fuego de Colima turned out to be a geographical map.
The basalt block (1.70 meters high, with a width of 2.12 to 2.77 m and a thickness of 60 cm to 1.70 m) is oriented with its axis towards the volcano, and in its drawings is similar to hundreds of other petroglyphs discovered by scientists in archaeological area of La Campana. After analyzing the images, experts came to the conclusion that petroglyphs are a map.
