Citizens of Singapore began to issue special devices to track potential contacts with patients with coronavirus infection. The tracker works exclusively via Bluetooth, exchanging a signal with similar devices that are in close proximity, as well as smartphones with the TraceTogether application.
The gadget cannot connect to cellular networks and determine the GPS coordinates of the user, authorities assure, and data is sent only within the range of Bluetooth. All information he collects is stored in encrypted form for up to 25 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
