The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the ChemRar group of companies have begun to export Avifavir, a treatment for coronavirus infection. In June, he was sent to Belarus; deliveries to Kazakhstan are expected in the near future.
More than 50 countries have expressed interest in importing drugs. In particular, negotiations are underway on the supply of Avifavir to a number of Latin American countries. Also interested in the acquisition are the countries of the CIS and the Middle East.
“Given the decision of the US authorities to purchase almost 100% of the manufactured Remdesivir (Gilead Sciences) in the coming months and the shortage of effective drugs on the world market, Russia is ready to come to the aid of other countries in the fight against coronavirus and begin foreign supplies of Avifavir,” said the head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev.
