Austrian Health Minister Rudolf Anschober presented a 17-point action plan for the COVID-19 pandemic. The main goal of the action plan is to respond in a short time against the second wave of coronavirus, which is expected this fall.

The main line of the action plan is the implementation of restrictions within 24 hours based on a traffic light system, which will work on the basis of four indicators - the total number of cases of infection, the number of positive tests per day, cluster analyzes and the number of beds in hospitals, and will also assess the current the state of affairs in each district separately.

R. Anschober noted that the relative stability, which is observed in the summer months in Austria in connection with the pandemic, has led to the fact that the population has ceased to be careful, and therefore in various regions of the country the number of cases of infection is increasing daily.
