Two Russian ministries - the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health - have argued about the readiness of the first Russian vaccine against a new type of coronavirus infection. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Ruslan Tsalikov said that the vaccine was ready, Assistant Minister of Health Alexei Kuznetsov said that only the second stage of testing had begun.
"The final assessments of the test results by our specialists and scientists of the [named after Gamaleya] National Research Center have already been made. At the time of discharge, all volunteers, without exception, having received immunity from the coronavirus, felt fine. Thus, the first domestic vaccine against the new coronavirus infection is ready," Tsalikov said in an interview with "Arguments and Facts".
