On August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the registration of the world's first coronavirus vaccine, which was developed by domestic specialists. According to the head of state, Sputnik V was tested by his daughter and she only had a slight increase in temperature.
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology Vitaly Zverev said that the reaction of the president's daughter to the vaccine was "undesirable" and could have negative consequences.
"Usually when a vaccine is administered, this is a rather rare and unwanted reaction," the scientist explained.
