Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Today, Tulparkhan Salavatov, a prominent scientist in the field of development and operation of oil and gas fields, Honored Scientist, head department of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, corresponding member of ANAS, turns 70.

Salavatov Tulparkhan Sharabudinovich was born on October 13, 1950 in the city of Baku. In 1972, he graduated from the Petroleum Faculty of the Azerbaijan Institute of Petroleum and Chemistry (now the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry).

T.Salavatov received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering in 1981, Doctor of Engineering in 1990, and Professor in 2003, was elected a corresponding member of ANAS in 2014.

T.Salavatov started his career as a junior researcher at the Institute of Deep Oil and Gas Fields Problems of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. He worked as a professor and head department.

In 2001-2008, T. Salavatov was a member of the Expert Council of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2009 to 2015 he was the Deputy Chairman of the Dissertation Council D.02.141, from 2017 to 2018 he was the chairman, and from 2019 he was the chairman of the ED 2.03 Dissertation Council.

T. Salavatov is one of the prominent scientists in the field of development and operation of oil and gas fields of the oil industry. The main directions of his scientific activity are the application of alternative methods in the development of oil and gas fields based on dynamic analysis of indicators, the selection of compromises for the management of oil and gas field development.
