Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic announces the 3rd “Grant of Shusha” for 2014 on supporting fundamental- applied characterized scientific research projects and special projects.

The main priority of the competition is investigation of Garabakh researches, Albanian churches and other historical monuments, material and non-material heritage of the Garbagh, Garbagh -Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, genocide against Azerbaijanis and delivering truth to the world community, protection of the rights of refugees and internally displaced persons, and other social and health problems.

Total funding for the 2nd Contest “Grant of Shusha” is 300.000 AzN. Presented projects within the competition will be financed at a small (up to 10 000 AzN) and medium (10 000 - 100 000 AzN) form of grants. Preference will be given to the selection of projects proposed within the framework of international cooperation.

Submission of applications for participation in the competition is from January 5, 2015 till February 13, 17:00. 3rd “Shusha” contest results will be announced in the second quarter of 2015.

Note that Science Development Fund established “Grant of Shusha” contest on May 8, 2012 in order to stimulate scientific research connected with Garabakh in the country, to ensure research at regional and international levels. 1st “Grant of Shusha” was held in 2012 and 2 of 4 projects have been conducted together with scientists from Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

2nd " Grant of Shusha” competition was jointly held by Science Development Foundation and the National Commission for UNESCO in 2013 and 10 winning projects were defined.
