Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli will publish great Turkmen poet Makhdumgulu Feragi’s “Divan”.

Book with transliteration and translation into Azerbaijani language is prepared for publication and will cover Mahkdamgulu’s unpublished poems so far.

Dr. Philology deputy director of the above mentioned institute Pasha Karimov, associate of the Institute of Literature of ANAS Ismikhan Osmanli, and vice-president acad. Isa Habibbayli have written “Preface” for the book.

Editor of the book is acad. Isa Habibbayli.

Note that, born in 1733 Makhdumgulu has written poems by “Faragi” pseudonym. His creativity covers a significant period of Turkmen literature. Makhdumgulu’s creativity seriously impacted to Azerbaijan poets – Molla Panah Vagif and Molla Vali Vidadi’s creativity as well.
