Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In a press conference, president of ANAS acad. Akif Alizadeh stated that Action Plan associated with 70th anniversary of ANAS has been approved and spadework been done. According him, government management has agreed to organization of anniversary event: “On April of current year, general assembly of ANAS will be held and social community be informed on the vital fulfillments done on the event. Jubilee is planned to hold in November.”

Making speech on remarkable events emerged in ANAS within 2014, A. Alizadeh specially noted the establishment of new department of academy in Ganja Branch. Functioning of the new department will play vital role in development of Azerbaijan science and ANAS. A. Alizadeh highlighted “Baku Science Festival” as an important scientific event as well. Azerbaijan Science Festival is intended to hold in near future. A. Alizadeh also reminded about the 1st Congress of Azerbaijan Scientists which brought together responsible delegates of enterprises and organizations who are engaged in scientific activity and working in the government, business and civil sectors.
