In Antarctica, one of the giant icebergs broke off the ice shelf.
According to the British Antarctic Exploration Service, the area covered by the giant iceberg is about 1,270 square kilometers.
Scientists from the service said that large cracks 150 meters thick had been forming on the glacier for 10 years.
As a result, the iceberg broke away from the main part of the glacier.
It is also noted that the size of the broken piece of ice can be compared with the territory of St. Petersburg.
