A special issue of the international scientific journal "Comparative Literary Studies" of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS dedicated to the outstanding representative of the Kazakh written literature Abay Kunanbayev has been published.

This issue of the magazine, which is included in a number of prestigious international indexes, includes research articles about Abay Kunanbayev by local and foreign authors.

This issue of the publication opens with the article "The great Kazakh thinker Abay and Azerbaijan" by the editor-in-chief of the magazine, vice-president of ANAS, director general of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli.The article examines the role of Abay Kunanbayev in the development of Kazakh literature and enlightenment, his attitude to the great artist in Azerbaijan.
