A delegation led by the general director of the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry Company (TUSAS), professor Temel Kotil and the manager of the South Caucasus and Central Asia region Mehmet Gokhan Keskin and the test pilot Ahmet Barbaros Demirbash visited ANAS High Technologies Park (HTP).
Prof. Temel Kotil, who is visiting Baku within the framework of “TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan” Aviation, Space and Technology festival first made a presentation on the activities of the organization headed. In the first 100 places in the world aerospace industry, TUSAS's main activities cover 6 areas (infrastructure, civil aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, satellite equipment and national warplanes).
Professor T. Kotil noted that integrated logistics support service is provided for all products designed and manufactured by the company.
General director said that TUSAS, whose turnover is measured in billion dollars, employs more than 8,000 specialists, including more than 1,000 engineers and students, presents its products using 5th generation technologies on the basis of government orders.
General director of HTP of ANAS, PhD in economics Vasif Abbasov said that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are developing on a growing line in all fields, which creates a great basis for further large-scale work. Speaking about possible cooperation opportunities V.Abbasov emphasized the importance of expanding relations with TUSAS and noted that HTP has relevant prospects for this.
Initial agreements on the residency opportunities of TUSAS, the establishment of an engineering office consisting of Azerbaijani specialists, joint projects and staff exchange were reached at the meeting.
Professor T.Kotil noted the possibility of production of certain products in the Technopark area with the involvement of intellectual and infrastructure resources of ANAS and noted that in a short time the responsible persons for research and development will be involved in cooperation with Technopark. He also invited a working group of specialists of ANAS and HTP to TUSAS and emphasized that on-site acquaintance with the work carried out will be useful and new directions will be identified.
