Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Physics was held.

The meeting was opened by the Acting president of ANAS, general director of the institute, academician Arif Hashimov.

First, a minute of silence was observed in memory of our servicemen who died as a result of a large-scale provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces on the state border on the night of September 12-13.

Then, academician Arif Hashimov acquainted the participants with the issues on the agenda.

At the meeting discussed the appointment of a leading researcher Rahim Alakbarov to the position of head of the Laboratory of Physics and Electronics of Non-crystalline Semiconductors and a leading researcher Afin Nazarov to the position of head of the Laboratory of Epitaxial Layers and Sructures, decisions were made unanimously.

Then, academician Arif Hashimov was informed about the 85th anniversary of the scientific secretary of the enterprise, PhD in physics Zaur Suleymanov, 80th anniversary of the leading researchers of the Laboratory of High Voltage Physics and Technology, Doctor of technical sciences Nariman Rahmanov and PhD in Physics, associate professor Kamil Gurbanov.

At the same time, a number of current issues were discussed at the scientific council, discussions and exchange of views were held on their solution and questions were answered.
