Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

As we know, in the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS dated October 17, 2013 was approved the new staff of academy’s Charter Commission. The main purpose is to shift the Charter into a final document providing legal provision on principles of the independent statehood, in the field of science, especially in the ongoing reforms in the academy

Assembly chaired by chairman of the Commission vice - president acad.Isa Habibbayli has discussed necessity of renewing the Charter of the Academy, and experience the realities of the world in this field. 93 well-known scholars offered suggestions to the Charter from separate units of the academy. Notes and proposals obtained by the Commission covers all sections of the Charter. In addition, the commission assimilated Charter experiences of Poland, Bulgaria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and the Ukraine Academy of Sciences, noted I. Habibbayli.

Speaking at the assembly members of the commission – acad. Asef Nadirov, academician- secretary of ANAS corresponding member of ANAS –

Rasim Alguliyev, corresponding member of ANAS Parviz Mammadov<, PhD in math Aminaga Sadigov, PhD in law Azer Namazov and others expressed views and opinions on a major upgrading of the Charter put forward the suggestions and ideas.

The next meeting intends to develop the full text of the revised Charter and to discuss. Note that, until the end of December, the final version of the Charter will be submitted to the President of ANAS, acad. Akif Alizadeh. After discussing a new project by the Presidium ANAS, the issue will be discussed at the annual general meeting.
