Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Within his visit to Kyrgyzstan, the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli visited the “Mediamanas” center at Manas University. Academician Isa Habibbeyli gave an extensive interview on a program broadcast on Manas television and radio. In the interview, he emphasized that ANAS and Manas University had signed a cooperation protocol, noting that this protocol opens up great opportunities for future joint activities between the two institutions.

At the same time, in the interview, he mentioned that a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed with the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan and that this cooperation began with joint preparation of  the volume “Chingiz Aitmatov and Azerbaijan” of the Chingiz Aitmatov Encyclopedia.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli mentioned that Chingiz Aitmatov is a connecting bridge between the two countries and that he wrote a book about the great writer titled “A Word about Chingiz Aitmatov”. The interview included an extensive discussion of Chingiz Aitmatov’s heritage.
