Approximately 100 trees suitable for the climate of our country were planted in the Park of Rare Trees including species listed in the Red Book, such as beautiful maple, Hyrcanian maple, marblewood, Caucasian persimmon, Lankaran acacia, Eastern sycamore, and others. Agrotechnical care was carried out for the trees, as part of the improvement and greening days at ANAS. Works such as strengthening the soil, improving the park, treating and protecting the trees, and installing irrigation systems were carried out in the territory as well.

It should be noted that the Park of Rare Trees was laid out in 2023 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The purpose of creating the Park of Rare Trees is to protect and improve the environment, as well as to promote a caring attitude toward nature. In the future, the Park of Rare Trees, located on the territory of the Academic town, will also serve as a scientific and experimental base.
