Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli took part in the “Cultural Capital of the CIS for 2025” events, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Special Representative Office of the President in the Lachin district.    

Within the event, roundtable discussions were held on the topics “Intercultural Cooperation as a Path to Sustainable Development” and “Natural Resources of Karabakh and East Zangezur.”

The roundtable on “Natural Resources of Karabakh and East Zangezur” was moderated by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli.

During the events, Academician Isa Habibbeyli gifted a miniature carpets to Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and Masim Mammadov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, woven on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.   

It should be noted that, according to the decision of the CIS Council for Humanitarian Cooperation dated October 8, 2024, Lachin city of East Zangezur region of Azerbaijan was declared the “CIS Cultural Capital for 2025”.
