Academician Isa Habibbeyli: “The celebration of the 80th anniversary of ANAS in brotherly Türkiye is another embodiment of the Great Leader’s saying ‘One nation, two states’”

President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, visited Heydar Aliyev Park on June 26 during his visit to Ankara.

He laid flowers in front of the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the architect of Azerbaijani statehood and a great politician.

He was accompanied by representatives of the Turkish Academy of Sciences and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli told AZERTAC that he visited Türkiye as part of the events dedicated to the anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

“In accordance with the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on the celebration of the 80th anniversary of ANAS, for the first time in our history, the anniversary event of the Academy is held outside our republic, in friendly and brotherly Türkiye. I consider this as another embodiment of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s saying 'One nation, two states' and as a new impetus for scientific cooperation between our countries,” he underlined.

He expressed his confidence that the anniversary event to be held at Ankara University would further strengthen the ties between the scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, and would create a foundation for new partnerships and joint projects.
