Scientists come a step closer to 'invisibility cloak'

American scientists from the University of Iowa approached the creation of the mantle of invisibility.

The technology that allows stretching the fabric can hide the person who put it on the radar, called "meta-skin." As explained by the publication Los Angeles Times, the invisibility cloak will hide the person using the manipulation of light. In addition, according to the researchers, the cloak can hide from its owner and radar detection.

As explained to the scientists, the fabric consists of silicone sheets with embedded rings rows of liquid at room temperature, the alloy galinstan. While electricity engagement rings turn in coils, and the space between them in capacitors. As a result, the tissue becomes impervious to radar waves.

To date, scientists have been able to hide an object wrapped in a special cloth, 75% of radar waves at a frequency of 8-10 GHz.
