At a meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the next item on the agenda concerned the approval of ANAS’s Action Plan related to the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated September 17, 2025, “On the Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Fatali Khan Khoyski.”
ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbayli, stated that in connection with the implementation of the Presidential Decree, the Presidium of ANAS adopted a resolution on September 29, 2025. The resolution instructed the relevant scientific departments, institutions, organizations, as well as regional scientific divisions and centers of ANAS, to prepare and submit proposals to the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences for the development of the Action Plan for marking the 150th anniversary of Fatali Khan Khoyski. The academician emphasized that, based on the proposals received, the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences of ANAS prepared a draft Action Plan for the jubilee and submitted it to the Presidium for consideration.
Following this, Academic Secretary of ANAS, Academician Arif Hashimov, presented the Action Plan. He noted that the plan includes organizing seminars and conferences on the topics “Fatali Khan Khoyski: A Phenomenal Figure in the History of Azerbaijani Statehood,” “A Fighter for Azerbaijan’s Independence,” “The Life and Socio-Political Activity of Fatali Khan Khoyski,” “The Artistic Image of Fatali Khan Khoyski in Azerbaijani Literature,” “The Legacy of Fatali Khan Khoyski in the History of Azerbaijani National Statehood – The Embodiment of Justice, Patriotism, and Independence,” and “One of the Founders of the Republic: The Life and Activity of Fatali Khan Khoyski.” The plan also envisions the publication of a monograph titled “Fatali Khan Khoyski” and other related editions.
Taking all the above into account, the Presidium of ANAS approved the Action Plan dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Fatali Khan Khoyski.
