Academician Isa Habibbayli, President of ANAS, has met with a delegation led by Professor Abdurrahman Ali, President of Türkiye’s Yunus Emre Institute.
Speaking at the meeting, Academician Isa Habibbayli said that Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations, based on the principle of “One Nation, Two States”, have risen to the level of strategic alliance in recent years. He noted that today the two countries maintain strong cooperation in all areas, including science, and that these relations make a significant contribution to the scientific unity of the Turkic world. The ANAS President stressed that joint projects in science, literature, culture and education have already become a sustained practice between the two countries.
Academician Isa Habibbayli also briefed the guests on preparations for the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress. He said that marking the 100th anniversary of the Congress is of great importance for reassessing the intellectual heritage of the Turkic world and defining future development strategies.
Addressing the meeting, Professor Abdurrahman Ali provided information on the activities of the Yunus Emre Institute, its international cultural projects, and the work related to the 100th anniversary of the Turkology Congress. He emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation with ANAS.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged commemorative books.
The meeting was also attended by Ömer Yıldız, Vice President of the Yunus Emre Institute, and Gökhan Seyhan, Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute in Baku.
