Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of the Institute of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Professor Pei Changhong has applied a letter to the Institute of Economics of ANAS. Application noted that, studies conducted by Azerbaijani economists for measuring level of government intervention in the economy and define the level of optimality, has aroused great interest and suggested to hold a meeting and workshops due to get closely acquainted with the obtained outputs.

Note that, these types of studies are carried out at the aforementioned institute since 2004. Integral index offered by the Institute in the first stage was designed for a number of countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including developed countries (a total of 37 countries). The obtained results and scientific works of their interpretation have been published not only in Azerbaijan, but also in foreign countries. These results can be found at the institute’s web site www.economics.com.az.

Currently, calculation of Integral indexes for 62 countries based on statistics for 2015 has been completed and will be submitted to the scientific public in the near future.
