Director of ANAS Institute of Petrochemical Processes, Academician Vagif Abbasov met with management and teaching staff and students on 23 September 2016 at SOCAR’s Education, Training and Certification Department (ETCD).

Declaring open the seminar Office head Fuad Suleymanov informed the participants about the life and work of the scientist, his achievements, works and pedagogical activity.

Then Academician Vagif Abbasov made a presentation on the topic "Career growth of young staff and patriotic education of youth." Speaking about the success of the steps of the conquest of young staff’s career development, the scientist told about successful projects implemented by SOCAR in the field of petrochemical industry.

The speaker then talked about the work done by national leader Heydar Aliyev in the training of young cadres, about his role in the development of the petrochemical industry.

Academician has donated his books: "Chemistry and Life", "The Wonders of Nature Chemistry, and how to use them", "Environmental Chemistry", "Corrosion," "Nanotechnology and Nanochemistry".etc. to the Library of the Center for Organization of Staff Training of the SOCAR’s ETCD.

In conclusion, V. Abbasov responded numerous questions from students and teachers.
