New materials collected at Nakhchivan Division involved in investigation

New materials collected from various archives, museums, and libraries by employees of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of Nakhchivan Division of ANAS has been involved in investigation.

Thus, the collected materials contain information about the participation of the cavalry Kangarli of Nakhchivan in the Crimean War of 1853-1856 and the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878, activity Kangarli cavalry in the defensive ranks of the Russian tsars, the formation of Major-General Kalbaly Khan II in Nakhchivan Pag case of Russia and the participation of Colonel Abulfaz Shahtakhtinsky in the Battle of Port Arthur. Among the materials involved in the study, there are also a number of documents stored in the State Archives of Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and published in order to study the geography of the history of Nakhchivan, as well as information about Heydar aga Shahtakhtinsky.

Among the archival materials of 1917-1920, there are important historical documents confirming the policy of aggression against the Armenians of Nakhchivan. For the record, we note that about 60 documents are reflected in the book "The Place of Armenian issue in the interests of England and the impact on our country (1917-1920)", published at the end of last year.

New materials have been identified by PhD in history Musa Guliyev, Emin Shikhaliyev and researcher Elnur Kelbizade during research in the Russian State Historical Archive, the Russian State Military History Archives, National archive of Georgia, Georgian National Central Library of Ilia Chavchavadze, Georgian National Museum of History after Janashia, National archives of England, the State historical archives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National science archive of Nakhchivan Division of ANAS.
