Interactive open lesson dealt with large Solar system bodies

Within the framework of the project "Interactive Open Lesson" Nakhchivan Division of ANAS was organized interactive open lesson for the secondary schools of the autonomous republic.

Director of the Batabat Astrophysical Observatory, PhD in Math, Assoc. Prof. Gulu Heziyev comprehensively informed the students about the Sun and planets.

A lesson on the theme "Large solar system bodies: planets," commented on the radius, mass, density, chemical composition, temperature and gravitational field of the sun. Gulu Haziyev noted that the planets and their satellites, asteroids and comets make up the solar system. Informing of students about the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, he noted that our planet Earth is one of the eight planets orbiting the sun.

It was noted that all the other planets except Mercury and Venus have natural satellites, orbiting planets. Jupiter has the greatest number of natural satellites. Their number reaches 16.

A lesson has been brought to the attention of those present physical and chemical properties of Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, and noted that, therefore, they are included in the same group and are called terrestrial planets. Included in this group of planets revolve around its axis with respect to the slow pace and the number of natural satellites is relatively small. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are in the group of giant planets. All giant planets contain only gaseous substances. Besides the fact that they have a very high rotation speed, number of satellites is naturally relatively much.

It was stressed that, despite the fact that we have some knowledge about the solar system, there are still unexplored area.

Note that, the open lesson was monitored in 200 general education schools of the autonomous republic.
