Notable educator, executive director of Knowledge Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, PhD in educational sciences Ogtay Samadov is 60.

Ogtay Samadov was born on April 8, 1957. In 1978, graduated from APRLI (present Baku Slavic University) with diploma of honors. He worked Russian language teacher at the village schools during 1978-1980, then studied in the post-graduate course of Research Institute of Russian Language Teaching at the SSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences in 1981-1984.

In 1986, defended PhD thesis on “Russian language teaching methods”, in the same year began for labor activity at the APRLI, held posts of teacher and senior teacher. In 2000-2006, he worked chief of Magistracy department of the Baku Slavic University. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Russian language teaching methods.

By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 3, 2014, Ogtay Samadov was defined an executive director of Knowledge Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

O.Samadov is co-author of “Educational dictionary of names” for pupils, and book “Language working documents" for students, including over 50 scientific articles, and participant of many scientific-methodological and scientific-practical conferences.
