Azerbaijani scientist, living in Russia, donated his book collection to the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory

Azerbaijani scientist, living in Saint Petersburg city, Russia, a specialist in solar physics, Ph.D. in Physics-math Asgar Hasanalizadeh has donated his book collection to the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory after N.Tusi.

Scientist’s personal collection includes books, bulks in astronomy, astrophysics, mechanics-mathematics, physics and other sciences, as well as conference proceedings.

Note that, A.Hasanalizadeh worked a leading researcher of the SAO and head of Astrophysical Metrology laboratory in various times.

Being author of almost 70 scientific works and a monograph, most studies of scientist have been published on the international journals (Solar Physics, Astrophysics and Space Science).

He is the member of Europe Astronomic Union since 1990, and active member of New-York Academy of Sciences since 1995.

During his education in postgraduate study at the USSR Academy of Sciences General Astronomy Observatory (Pulkovo), he studied "red sliding" effect in the Pacific Solar spectrum with photoelectric methods under guidance of V. Krat, a Professor and head of Solar Physics Department of the same organization, editor of "Solar Data” bulletin. This method differs from the photography method by many advantages and increases the accuracy of the measured wavelengths several times.
