Presidium of ANAS made a decision about establishment of Biophysics and Smart Materials Centre at the Institute of Physics

A proposal for the establishment of the Centre in Azerbaijan was nominated by Nobel Prize laureate George Smoot who participated at Baki International Humanitarian Forum. He offered Akif Alizadeh 5 year’s project in biophysics and condensed matter physics.

Note that the main direction of Biophysics and Smart Materials Centre will be creation of artificial organs and tissues and obtaining regenerative medicinal preparations for life extension.

The center is planned to be established according to two-stage action plan. The first stage is 2 years, the second stage is expected to be 3 years.
