Meeting devoted to December 1 - World Civil Defense Day was held at the Institute of Geography.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Director of the Institute , Dr of Geography Elbrus Alizadeh and he emphasized the importance of measures of civil defense and civil defense works institute in this field was carried out under Chief of Staff Namazali Mustafayev’s leadership.

Chief staff of the institute Namazali Mustafayev noted that, World Civil Defense Day was celebrated on March 1 every year in all over the world since 1972 and Azerbaijan entered to the organization in 1993. He noted that, ceremonies for 2014 year were dedicated to “Culture of preventing emergencies for Civil Defense and safe community” theme.

Dr in Geography Rana Gashgay, Chairman of Trade Union , PhD in Geography Habil Hagverdiev, PhD in agricultural sciences Enver Aliyev and others voiced their suggestions and opinions .
