Scientists of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics received fertilizer from industrial wastes

The group of scientists of ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics achieved successful results in the field of research carried out on new technological methods of obtaining fertilizers through the effective use of industrial waste and waste of minerals.

By mixing natural mineral compounds of waste generated as a result of mining operations with industrial waste compounds was obtained a fertilizer, brought into a suitable state for use in agriculture.

Senior researcher of the Department of Geo-ecology of the Institute, headed by the research, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mirali Alosmanov noted that, the preparation of the envisaged fertilizer requires the presence of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which we receive from industrial waste. According to him, all the work follows from the tasks stipulated by the Development Concept "Azerbaijan 2020: a look into the future".

The achieved results were tested at the ANAS Institute of Soil Science and Agro Chemistry and are currently preparing for experiments in ANAS High Technologies Park.
