Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

University of Sofia Antipolis and the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS held an international conference on "Solidarity as a philosophical principle and legal norm: a comparative approach from the position of France and Azerbaijan" in Nice.

Vice-President of the University, Professor Christian Vallar, speaking at the conference, spoke about the scientific ties of the two countries, on his meetings in early 2017 at ANAS Institute of Philosophy, the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Baku, International Center for Multiculturalism.

At the event, Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy Ilham Mammadzadeh spoke on "Solidarity and Law: the philosophical and ethical context of the problem". The scientist in his speech brought to the attention that representatives of classical philosophical schools expressed their attitude to this issue. The scientist expressed his opinion on the philosophical and ethical side of the problem.

Then, head of the staff of the Knowledge Foundation, Professor Isakhan Veliyev spoke on the topic "Azerbaijani model of solidarity: constitutional foundations". He spoke about the legal foundations of this model, conducted a comparative analysis of the legislation of France and Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the conference, the chairman of the ANAS Free Trade Union, Doctor of law, Professor Gabil Gurbanov, employee of the Institute of Philosophy Zohra Aliyeva, deputy dean of the faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the University of Sofia Antipolis, Professor Xavier Latour and others shared their views on various aspects of the concept of solidarity.
