Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Director-General of the Republican Seismological Service Center (RSSC), correspondent member of ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli visited Moscow, Russia.

During the visit, the scientist met with the director of the Institute of Earth Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of the RAS Sergey Tikhotski, vice-president of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, academician Azizaga Shahverdiyev and others.

The RSSC and the Earth Physics Institute have reached preliminary agreement on conducting seismotectonic and paleosysmological investigations of the eastern part of the Greater Caucasus, including the northern part of Azerbaijan and the southern part of Russia.
