A memorial event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy was held at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS.

At first, the memory of our martyrs remembered for a minute of silence.

Director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Imanov addressed the event and called January 20 events a heroic page of our people.

Head of Modern Folklore Department of the Institute, Doctor of Philology, prof. Fuzuli Bayat, Head of Mythology Department, Doctor of Philology Seyfettin Rzasoy, Doctor of Philology, poet Nizami Muradoglu, Ph.D. Shakir Albaliyev, Garabagh war veteran Hasan Husseini and others shared their memories of the 20 January.

At the end, a documentary film about the January 20 tragedy has been demonstrated.
